I was so hoping this chapter was closed but it looks like it’s been reopened for now.  This weekend we took a trip down to visit DT’s grandmother, and Friday night in the hotel Little W fell, tripped over the luggage rack and hurt his leg.  DT and I were both in the room but neither of use saw him fall and at first we thought he hit his head on the edge of the luggage rack, but we couldn’t find a bump or bruise, so then I noticed that he was holding his leg real still.  Sure enough he hurt it. It was obvious to us that it wasn’t as bad as before, because he wasn’t nearly in as much pain as when it was broken.  He slept the whole night, and is crawling all over the place, but he won’t put any weight on it or walk on it.  So I am going to get an appointment tomorrow with his Pediatric Orthopedist, and hopefully have some answers soon.  Its been about 10 days since he had his cast removed.  Please say a little prayer for Little W and I will keep everyone updated hopefully with really good news.

***UPDATE*** 1:15 pm

We just got back from the Orthopedist and he had a x-ray, but the ortho could not see a break, but he still thinks he has what is called a toddler’s break, basically its a fracture that is so small its not detectable on x-rays but only through a bone scan.  He recommended not having a bone scan (its painful and a long procedure) and optionally if we wanted to get a cast for him.  He said that he would do fine without one, but if he would be at a large daycare that he would put a cast on  him, but since he is at a small daycare he said he would heal fine, and it would probably take him 7-10 days to walk again.  So in short, he does have another break, but no cast.  So we are just going to be taking it easy and cross our fingers this doesn’t ever happen again!  Poor guy has been through enough.  Though he is handling this really well, and its obvious he isn’t in any pain like before.
